M54 Hand Brake

Hi Guys,
I own a 68 dated M54 A2 with the box drivers seat, i think the hand brake has been changed to the later type (over center type) am I correct in thinking its not original? Can anyone tell me would it be easy to change over the over center hand brake to the original ratchet type leaver?

If this is all possiable does anybody have a NOS or very good used ratchet they can sell me?

Stuart...................................I believe they had both. But yes orig, was the ratchet type. So remember that if you switch to the ratchet type, you will need another cable. I think the lengiths are different and so are the ends at the lever.................................Just stick with what you got!!!

Hi Jeff and Westfolk, l prefer the early type like you westfolk. So where can I get everything I need to replace it and at what cost $$$$. Jeff I will see what pictures i can dig out for you. but to be honest I probably don't have that may. Should take more really
