M54A2 front axle rebuild

Pulled front axle shaft covers off and was greeted by some nasty brown slime. Combination of water and grease. Bearings and all seals are shot. When I began looking for new parts, I've found individual parts and complete rebuild kits from lots of companies. I don't plan on doing this amount of work again and could use some guidance on where to look for the right parts and best options. Oshkosh has a complete kit but it's out of stock. See some on ebay but don't know quality of parts. One piece or zipper up boots?
I've got a long way to go and your help is greatly appreciated.

Zipper boots are for replacement without complete rebuild.

Get the one-piece silicone boots since you are doing a complete teardown, they last longer.

Other than that, seals and bearings are all you might need. Don't forget the inner bearings inside the axle housing.

Brake shoes, hoses, and cylinders should be inspected thoroughly and replaced if marginal.

Source your needs from vendors advertising on this site, you'll get the best quality for a fair price.
