M8 Greyhound Turret Mantlet

Bringing up an old subject, does anyone know of someone with a Mantlet for an M8 Greyhound? At one time someone was looking into having some cast in Aluminum, any ideas if that happened? Any leed’s would be much appreciated.

My mantlet was used as the pattern for some repros that were done and sold in Europe. So there are a few vehicles running around with my casting number on them!

By the way, you can't do it out of aluminium - the gun would be so tail heavy you would not be able to lower it.

Mantlet is part of the balancing system, people usually forget that when they think they can take the easy way out and use ally.
