M816 in uk history?

Hi i have a M816 wrecker in the uk. Does anyone know how i can trace the history of this truck ? age where it was stationed etc under hood it says US AIRFORCE i do have the chassis no on registration document. It is on the road and being used for recovery and shows etc. Any help would be very greatful.
