M817 dump hydraulic fluid question

Hi,

I've got an M817 that is low on hydraulic fluid in the dump hydraulic reservoir - can somebody tell me what fluid I should use to top it off?

Thanks for the reply. I assume you mean UTF fluid and not AW46 hydraulic oil?

I use the cheapest grade of hydraulic oil I can get due to slight leaks, but I think the stuff labeled tractor transmission and hydraulic oil is better.

Even 10wt motor oil will be fine.

10W non detergent motor oil is the original spec.

I used "low ware" hydraulic oil from Walmart. They had it in 5G buckets for $25. Mine leaks a little too.

I # 10 motor oil is hardcould not get the oil specified in the manual, the truck shop counter guys said 46 . Works well and no leaks. #10 motor oil is hard to buy in this area.

Just about any hyd. oil or 10wt oil (most hyd oil is 10wt) or even ATF will work in these simple hyd. systems.
