does anyone know a ruff figure on how much a basic m821, in need of some body work, paint, etc would go for w/o super singles. it doesn't need to be the USMC version, preferably Army to be honest. just wondering, haven't seen any close to SC Penn...planing a project in a couple years.
thanks for the help

I had a lead on up to 20 for $6500 each. I posted it on this list, but there were no takers. (It is not my deal...only a deal that was offered to me by a friend who is a fairly big dealer.) Anyway, these trucks are all in active use right now. I'd like one or two, but my friend will not pull the trigger on this deal unless he pre-sells a number of them. He does not want to sit on a bunch of bridge trucks. While I think they are cool, they are overwidth and are, therefore, less desirable to the average Joe. If enough people are interested, I can approach my friend again to see if he'll make the deal.

The picture above is a M812. The M821s have a flat bed with removable side racks and a large roller at the rear to drag off the bridge sections. They both have the same running gear though. To make them leagle you can run super singles. The motor is the cummins but it is not turbo charged. My M821 has the 14 X 20 tires. I think that is standard size for both trucks.

Removing the rear wheels and running super singles will not make the truck legal. You would have to cut the rear body down also. The outside edges where the rollers are would have to be removed all the way from the headache rack to rear. You can also pay for a over width permit and run legal. It is just shy of requiring an escort.....................Use to drive mine all over with no trouble from the DOT or the cops. Your mileage may vary
