M900 engine measurement

Could someone please measure the clearance from the rear valve cover top to the cab. I'm getting ready to install the big cam with a jake which is taller and I would like to know if I need to cut a relief into the cab cowl.

2.5" clearance...C-Brake/Jacobs brake housings 2.75" (+/-).

Thanks, it's easier for me to cut it now rather then install the motor, lower the cab and realize it needs to be cut.
