Had to replace elbow before the sliencer/stack. Simple right?... well it's not a full 90°, as the preceeding pipe is pointing down slightly. It's also a male/male pipe. Over the counter 90° is female/male, but I got creative.. Watchout for the heat shield touching the tank sender wires.

i got tired of re-patching that pesky elbow, so last year when i had no time and no help a local heavy shop replaced everything behind the turbo on my commercial FLD120 .. bill was around $1200 .. the cost of parts was 3x more than the labor .. ouch .. at least the new donaldson muffler will last longer than me , i modified the outlet / stack joint so no rain can get down inside the muff ;)
