M923 roof cargo rack/ platform

So my 5 ton ended up coming with the 4 LWS legs already mounted. I don't see myself being able to get the gun platform needed and ring as I can only imagine how much that would run, so I was wanting to see if anyone has ever used their LWS legs to mount either a platform or some type of cargo rack above your cab. I would like to keep my hard top intact. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

The LWS legs should work fine for that. I've got a "homemade" roof rack built that way that was on an m35a2 in service. Made of angle iron and expanded metal.

You have the hard part down, the contact points. And these are sturdy contact points too! Now, just build the rack!
