M925A2 with CTIS - tracking down a minor air leak

Well...my next maintenance mystery is tracking down a minor air leak in the CTIS system. It has a specific behavior, so hopefully someone can give me some pointers on how best to find it.

When I start the truck and it builds pressure and begins trying to air up the CTIS system, it tries once and goes straight to the blow off sound with 5 blinking lights.

If I press the bottom button to make it attempt to air things up anyways, it does work - but after it draws some air into the system I hear a hiss around coming from the rear axle area (but not during the time when it's pulling the air...just after each time it adds more air). It does this repeatedly and the leaking sound after each air draw slowly diminishes/stops and it does get the system pressurized to where it returns to normal. The leak isn't coming any of the valves or hoses on the wheels.

Any tips on the best way to track down a leak like this or pointers about where to start looking? It's not too difficult for me to get down there and hear it, but trying to pinpoint it is another story.
