M998 - Generator Issue?

Hi all,
On start-up, the gauge for the generator bounces from yellow to green and the headlights slightly dim. After a couple minutes of idling the gauge goes to green. Is this normal?

Yeah. Sounds like your glow plug controller is working.

Agree. Both of mine will cycle the glow plugs 2 or 3 times. After that it should stop.

If you upgrade to the smart start system (S3) that'll stop.
