We turned out a lot vehicles today. We had six Sheriff Department escorts from Denton to Gainesville and back today.

Many MOH recipients were carried by our group. I do not have a count, although Jimmy may have one.

Outstanding job by you and the team. I'm sure it was appreciated by the MOH recipients.

Thank you for sharing and for the pics:beer:

The Gainesville Daily Record published a hundred or so pics from today's parade.

Looking through them you will see a M151 with a M60 being held by Bob Patterson, MOH Vietnam, in a blue shirt. He by accident came on the vehicle assigned to carry him and was pointing out to his wife the various features and modifications they made to the vehicle. While talking to me I realized who he was and introduced him to my son David who drove. They were engrossed in M151 stuff for half an hour and when the parade began, he put his wife in the passenger seat, stood in the back gunner position and had a wonderful time. This was his first time here.

An amazing event. I was humbled to be in the presence of the MOH recipients.
Great job Dennis, and eveyone else, at VVA920 in Denton who made us feel so welcome[thumbzup]. However, thats the last time I do over 100 mile round trip in the DUKW. Certain parts of my anatomy will take weeks to recover.
