Hello all, have a MEP-002A that i've overhauled, new injector pump, injectors heads all new bearings, ect. it did'nt work when we picked it up. It will now start fine but imediately revs to 90+ hz with a good fluke digital meter to measure Hz. Wont let it run for more than 10-20 seconds at this speed. There appears to be all or nothing with relation to injector fuel regulator setting. Any thoughts ? thanks, Joe :deadhorse:

Possible you did not rebuild the injector pump correctly. Ive heard of pumps being rebuilt and people have a runaway engine, at least until it throws a rod or something from the super high rpm. Id check what uscgmatt said the gov linkage, and the throttle linkage. Otherwise id be suspect of that injector pump.

Nice glad it was something simple. Always feels good when the problem was easy and does not cost Lots of money to fix. Glad you figured it out :) Bet she runs great now.....
