MEP-112 to 003 on a M107 A-1 Trailer

For the past couple of months I've been working on converting 2 - MEP 112's to 003's (400 to 60 Hz). I ran across an old M107 A1 Water Buffalo trailer without a tank. I offered $50 and became the proud owner! After fresh paint and some TLC, it is a nice piece.

Mice are a real problem here and several pieces of equipment have been damaged. I wanted it up higher and movable so I put the two together. Next will be a cover and a storage box up front for misc. support equipment.

Nice looking job and a great way to repurpose an old trailer. How is the balance on the trailer nose working out? You may have to add a few leg supports.

There are some peculiarities with that trailer. The half springs and 5 lug rolling stock are different. Looks great but the trailer has me curious.

I will have to rely on you guys for more information on the trailer. It was rescued from a certain trip to the scrapper. Far from perfect, it should serve me well, especially at this level of investment. If it doesn't work out it can be re-purposed. I have the lights but the wiring harness is rough. It would be easy to build a new one.

The CG is high. There are front and aft stands. Tongue weight is 100 lbs or so. If it gets away from you it will go up. The rear kickstand is a necessity.

Thanks for the comments.

Old thread I know but i was researching M107's as I just got one.

That looks like a m101 variant /trailer salad...of the axle and running gear with M37 16 inch wheels is my swag.
My 107a1 frame and cross members do not look like that but on the other hand the fender does....
Mine also has smaller flat fenders on each corner.
