i just painted the trailer, this one is an 804a with an isuzu diesel , i wil post some pictures of some of the others 804bs with the yanmar engines, the bad part they charged me alot for shipping , they charged me almost 700 cubic feet per each, with the trailer, would you guys unmount the 804bs and mount the 806bs witht the trailer or just leave the 804s witht the trailer like they came

That would depend on your end use. If you have need for the unit to be mobile I would pay for the trailer to be sent with it. If you have no need of the trailer I'd leave it behind and save on shipping personally.

Sounds like you have several generators. May want to bring at least 1 trailer home so you can use it to move your generators around. I like the mobility provided by a trailer but it makes the generator easier for someone to steal. As joe points out: depends on your unique situation.....and the price point of those trailers where you sell them.

I have both an 804a and 804b. Between my particular sets the 804b is more tolerant of the huge inrush of current needed to get my FDECU-5 heat pumps running when the compressor kicks on. My 804a will pop a short circuit light most of the time while the same FDECU will work with my 804b. I haven’t dived into the why since the water pump on the 804a sounds like it has a bad bearing with less that 150 hours run time. I put 500 hours on the 804b last summer without a problem. Is getting fuel a problem where your location says on your ID?

yeah, theres a gas shortage, but diesel still pretty easy to find, if you wanna pay 1 cent to fill up 200 gallons go make a 2 day line, or just pay 20 30 usd and get it delivered to your door, still pretty cheap

Hi folks new here. We have an 804A and a 303A out at an off-shore lighthouse recently purchased from the government at auction. Hauled them up manually by chain fall. We are getting to know it. I see on other units and on this that the muffler has a male pipe type thread. We are wanting to make an exhaust to run outside. Is that a 2" Male NPT on the muffler? Also there is some leaking from the exhaust manifold 3-bolt pipe to the flex pipe going up to the muffler. Do we just crank that clamp down real hard?

Its closer to 2.5 inches, I think. But its been almost 10 years since I laid hands on it.

Yes, screw it down tighter. Don't eat Wheaties first. crank it down a tad. Try it. Repeat if needed.
