I found that one of the injection pumps was completely seized. I took it out and rebuilt it freed it up. I have two generators (neither run) so I have spare parts.
I replaced it after rebuilding it and the governor is seized up after replacing the first cylinder pump. I tried two injectors and swapped the rebuilt injector into the other engine and it works as expected. When I push lightly on the governor rail I can feel a spot in it that the lever seems to click and move freely. I'm not sure how else to explain it. I'ts like theres a way to lightly load the governor rail that makes it so the lever doesn't work/touch the governor. I'm leaning towards it's bent. Should I be removing the front cover to inspect it?
