Early deuces had a single arm with a small round mirror. Most have 'west coast' type mirror assemblies. For the mirrors themselves, most of the usual vendors (Eric's, Memphis, Saturn, Boyce, Murray, Newstar, etc.) will have them in stock. For the frames and the rest of the hardware either one of the big guys or someone scrapping a deuce are the fastest sources.

Early in 65/67 as the change over from the old Bullseye or Zero type mirrors. The only trucks we had in Europe with west coast style mirrors were the M123 Ten Ton tractors. As the truck drivers in the field were able to score mirror arms they began to use the kits that were made for the ten ton trucks on five ton trucks. The things stuck out by a mile and more than one truck would "click" mirror arms when passing in opposite directions. Once the transportation units began getting kits made for the deuce and five ton, It became a must have modification. It kept the supply companies busy and the scroungers douple busy keeping up with the demand for the "new" mirrors. This kept up even when I shipped out to Nam in '66. By the time I ETS'ed from Nam in '67 it was very rare to see the old style mirrors in anything but 3/4 ton trucks. Even they were swaping out to the 5X7 style that the M151's had. That is my recolection.

I have a set of mirrors that will swing in for traveling through brush without ripping them off the truck.
PM if interested and I can send pics.
