Missing Plugs? Is that bad?

BOTH the Deuces that I have are missing the same plug on the transmission.

Is it supposed to be missing? Or will I screw something up by driving them with the plug gone?

Also....one deuce has a cylinder on the bar behind the front axle & the other doesn't.....what is that for?

Read your TM's... it will tell you ALL about that plug.....

By your own statistical evidence, you could assume that it's normal.
The plug shown in your images is used to plug the bellhousing durning fording.

is that power sterring on that duece? like a assist ram? ditto about the fording plug needing to be out

AH HA! So the plug isnt missing....its in the storage hole & I screw it into the open hole if I go fording through water.

One question down......10,000 to go.

And as far as power steering.....I think the one WITHOUT that thing is easier to steer.

Well, then I will take your unwanted air-o-matic steering assist.

A little troubleshooting will turn that air-o-matic unit to pure gold when parking. Plus, it makes cool hissing sounds.
