Mutt Battery Replacement

Hi all!
What civy size battery will fit my mutt? (fits brackets etc.)

I am going to use 51r's in my m38, not a perfect fit but should work.

51R is going to be about as close as you are going to get. They are a little shorter in length and a little narrower. I put a small strip of plywood lengthwise along the non terminal side to catch the tie down.

I used the smaller size batteries in mine, And "shimmed" the batteries with that hard pink styrofoam insualtion to make up the difference. Even here in cold country, The smaller batteries have plenty of power to start it, And the styrofoam is holding up well as a shim material.

22NF is a little closer than 51R. Not an exact replacement for the original 2HN, but I know for a fact that it fits the original M151 and M37 hold downs without shimming or modification. Here is a chart with size comparisons, fyi:
