Sometime in its life before I got it, my 816's front winch got damaged. Probably by getting moved around the GL yard prior to sale by a forklift. Does anyone know where I can get these parts? I'm going to be in Barstow this weekend so I'm going to check around there (and if someone wants to go with me to make introductions, that would be great... LOL)

Anyway, here's the pics.

Later,
Joe

You could save the case by using a helicoil...or just drilling/tapping the hole one size larger. I would go with the former. If you're really talented with a TIG welder, you could weld up the inside of that hole and re-tap. Clearly you'll need a new cover plate (or just make a new one out of plate) and a clutch handle (unless you have the other part that broke off...then you could just weld it back on).

Not horrible damage...but not desirable either.
