Need a brake part!!! NOW SOLVED!

All,

Dont ask why, but I need the brass fitting that attaches the brake line to the master Cylinder. It is also the same fitting that attaches a brake line to the air pack. It is a "straight" fitting, not a 90. It's part #8 for both pictures. There are actaully 3 on each truck... I'd love to get 2, but 1 will get me back on the road. Of course the local hardware store didnt have one....

That should be an inverted flare to NPT pipe, try your NAPA store......
Get the dimensions/sizes from the old one. Probably 5/16 tubing and 1/4" pipe thread.

NAPA has one that was a "indutry standard size.. Only difference between the NAPA one and the issue one is the diameter of the hole inside the fitting that the fluid passes thru. The NAPA one is slighty smaller.. Seems Uncle Sam thought he needed some special stuff, when he really didnt..
