friends coming back from pa in my 86 o8 rack body.. about 1 hour from my home.
hes telling me he lets off the gas and hits it again there is a clunk.. im thinking u joint. thinking i should get he other trailer and truck together and hit the road.. hes telling me why bother when im so close.. so i thought i would ask you guys real fast why hes eating. you guys know these better then i do. truck seemed fine the other night when i used it.. so what do you think? thanks

Does it clunk much when you shift it from froward to reverse? You might get under it with the engine off and the wheels blocked and try to rotate the drive shafts by hand. You should be able to tell if a u-joint is loose.
