Need a pick-up at Ft McCoy Wisconsin...Please!

Hey all,

I was lucky enough to acquire a couple of sets of floodlights at Ft McCoy in Wisconsin today. I really need someone to pick them up for me and hold onto them until after the holidays or possibly get them closer to Ohio.

Driving up to get them isn't going to be an issue, but doing it within the window allowed by GL is, I have family I MUST visit in 2 different states before Christmas, and neither state is in that direction.

If there is anybody who could get them off base for me, and hold them until after the holiday season, I would really appreciate it. Like I said, if I can get them moved closer to Ohio that would be great, but not a necessity.

The floodlights are in the crates, there is 2 sets of floodlights, so that is a total of 4 crates. Each crate is about 6 feet long, 2 feet wide and probably 3 to 4 feet high. They probably weigh about 200 to 250 pounds each. Here are the pics from the auction so you can see the crates.

Thanks in advance.

The picture of the crates on the pallet are from a different auction, but that is exactly what I have waiting for me...those are the kind/size of the crates.

this afternoon I got the PIF invoice for the lights...If nobody can manage to get these off base for me I guess I'll have to call Mike @ McCoy and see how long I have to get them off base.

There was a post of a guy going up there on the 12-21, I think. Someone else had requested a pickup from McCoy also. I think he was from SW MI. If you can get it somewhat close to me I don't mind picking it up and tossing it to the next guy going your direction. Good luck.

roscoe, thanks for the offer...I have a pm out to the gentlemen going over on the 21st...waiting to hear back. Also waiting to hear from drgreg. I guess worst case, I'll have to check to see what my deadline for removal is, and find a way to make the trip myself....Mike @ McCoy is a great guy, but his hands are sorta tied on some things because of GL procedures and policies.

If you get in a real bind it is a 90 mile drive for me but I could maybe do it. (wrong direction for Ohio too) I also have a relative near there, he also has a wife that works on base. I'm just afraid that it might be hard for him to get there during GL business hours and not sure if she would be willing to pull a trailer to work.

But talk to Mike there first. I will PM his phone number to you.
