I have a small coolant line leaking. It is a metalic tube that goes from a manifold on the right side of engine, across front of engine, makes a 90 degree turn and ends above the injector pump. I've been thru the parts manual but am unsure what it is. Can anyone help with a Cummins part number and source. It is in the center of the pic and and is rusty towards the end.

If you go in the -24 under change oil cooler I think they called that line the air compressor coolant line. It has been more than 1 day my memory is gone.

I think your asking about the air compressor coolant line. It can be found in TM9-2320-260-34P-1. Figure 88(that means exploded view # 88)

Most likely the part number in the TM is a Cummins number(or will get you a Cummins number if you google the NSN(national stock number).

Thanks for the replies. I just went out to JB weld a piece of sheet metal over the pinhole (this is temporary, very temporary) and found a metal tag wrapped around the tube with 3031619 on it. That shows as a good number in the 24P manual. I'm not having any luck crossing it to anything or finding it in a Cummins search.

That number is a Cummins number, but Quikserve Online shows nothing. It most likely supercedes or is NLA. I can't get into the IMS database from home to check supercession.

Probably.

If you look at the nut in the TM, then google that NSN or part number, you probably can easily identify what angle flare and make your own. If I was to guess, I'd guess it will be 37 degree(JIC), but thats just a guess.

Edit, I guessed wrong, according to Will's post below.

Nope, It uses a 1/2 in id rubber grommet. The end of the line slips into the fitting and the grommet compresses the line and fitting together. No seal between the line and fitting happens.
