Hello ladies and gents,

A few weeks ago I picked up my first (and definitely not last) cucv. Its a 1986 M1009 and ive been doing a ton of work getting it back up and running after having sat for 25 years. I need some help from y'all.

Im trying to decode the letters and numbers on it to figure out where it came from and what unit it belonged to. When i got it the markings were spray painted over but I was able to remove it and expose the info underneath. Heres what I found....

Let me know what yall think.

Thank you.20241209_092840.jpg20241220_144920.jpg20241220_144924.jpg

The driver’s side indicates ALPHA COMPANY, 3rd platoon, 3rd vehicle. The passenger side seems to indicate 145th Infantry but it seems to be incomplete. On the passenger side of mine it has 1 I 299 (First Infantry Division, 299 Brigade Support Battalion). Driver’s side has B 7. BRAVO COMPANY First Sergeant’s vehicle.
