My buddy has a M1009 near Aztec NM. He has a young man trying to fix it for him and is having trouble. It's my understanding he is trying to convert it to 12volt it was having alternator issues. If there is anybody in the area that is willing to help shoot me a PM and I'll get you the contact numbers. It's his hunting camp rig. I am in Michigan and just far away to do anything. Thank you. Also he is willing to pay.

Leaving it 24 volt is easier than changing it to 12. There's several good write ups on how to diagnose the alternators.

I agree and suggested putting it back to the 24volt setup. The owner is not against doing so. It's just to difficult to be a 3rd party monkey in the middle from 2000 miles away. The owner is not a mechanic and I sold him this truck 15 years ago. He was supposed to bring it to me to go through before he hauled it to NM. He jumped the gun and took it out for a Elk hunt last year and it started having issues during the hunt.
