I'm plannig an in frame rebuild and am in the process of searching for parts to tackle this project, anyone have places that might be a good source to help with the part pickup... also, any insight on a rebuild would be helpful, first and hopefully the last. Question : is replacing the valves a wise option at this time since we are changing the pistons etc. ? Thanks for all the help

Steve Turchet has an article on "In frame rebuilds" in the Feb 2006 MVM issue. I'm looking at it for a possible upcoming bearing check on my deuce with a low oil pressure problem.

first read this http://www.angelfire.com/vt2/gmmvc/rebuild.html
ok I allmost did a inframe on my truck then found out the block was cracked but I did do
a full pull down first find a good machinist he can tell you if you need valves, valve guides etc
next to do a full in frame you will need to pull the tranny the rear main bearing block is held in
by two bolts through the rear of the block.
next thing parts I'd start with http://www.whiteowl.com/ they have all the engine parts and good prices next for a local dealer Hercules Engine Components still makes parts
for the Multifuel go to there site find a dealer near you http://www.herculesengine.com/index.htm
if you have any more questions PM me.
