Need measurements M818

A friend is wanting a 6x6 to put a wrecker body on for his towing / recovery service.
I talked him out of a deuce and into a 5ton so far.

I've been searching without luck so far for measuremnets

Looking for length of frame behind cab/spare and position of rear axles on the frame.

may have to go for an M813 if the 818 isn't long enough.

Sure he could just bid on a 5ton wrecker, but he has a wrecker body already.

from the spare tire rack back is right at 9' the axles are just ahead of the frame end not sure of the measurement.

the 818 frame isnt long enough for a typical wrecker body. but i can get measurements on the truck for you today so you can measure it if you want. If its a military wrecker body get a 813

Now if you need another body i got a complete M543 wrecker body sitting here also still. Well thats until FT finally gets it or someone

umm might could check with FT... its been a few months in mourning ... so he might sell off his wrecker!!!!

He thinks it will fit on the M818.
I would like to find a drawing with dimensions for the 818.
He got outbid on the Michigan ones.
but still looking.
