Hi, my name is Scott. I am in the market for a 5 ton, currently bidding on one. If I get it I plan to restore to be able to take to car shows. Eventually I want to turn it into a 6x6 camper/RV.
I am a prior service guy and look forward to meeting and talking with like minded folks from this site.

Welcome to the site, hobby, friendships, and events to come (after you purchase and take possession of your chosen truck). When you do, post up some pictures of it..and the (however made) Journey home with it.

I used to have Parkersburg, Marietta, and Watertown as well as Motown, Clarksburg, Kingwood, and Philippi as part of my sales territory. I was actually in Marietta when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. Somebody said something to me about it and I figured bad flying (after all planes in the past hit the Empire State Building). Went to Watertown and arrived just after the second plane hit. I was right back out the door heading to my unit and that was that. Haven't been back since.

So... the 5ton did nlt work out. I was outbid by 1100.00 however I did buy a 1078 LMTV from a guy in Indiana that got it from Fort Campbell. I drove it home to Williamstown last night and it took forever at 55mph, about 8 hours lol... Pretty happy with it for the price, needs a few things.. I it missing the bed sides, tail gate, ladder, tarp, etc.. it is a flatbed right now that was used by an Industrial supply shop. The oil pressure guage does not work, the steeri g wheel is a little crooked when the wheels are straight. Bushing on torsion bar in back is missing on drivers side. Needs wipers, seats recovered, and floor liner. You can see where the floor limer was cut out for some reason. You can see where the original 101abn info is spray painted over on the front.. oh and it needs a new grill, and new drivers side mirror, and two door handles (both are broke). Other than that everything is good. Has 16k on odometer.
