new guy and a question

Hi everybody, im from out in Johnstown Pa. Just got around to joining after about a year. Owner of two M1028s one an 86 and the other a 87. The 86 is the progect and the 87 stays stock. The question a have is about the th400 in the 87. It shifted firm and quick and then acouple of days ago it stopped. Now it shifts from 1st to 2nd very slow likes its slipping maybe, and then the same but not as pronounced from 2nd to 3rd. i just got the truck about two weeks ago and it only had 4300 miles on it. it manually shifts good im pretty sure and does have engine breaking in all the gears. other then that im kinda blind to it. the tranny fluid is full and clean looking as can be. check for vacuum leaks, damaged or missing hose to vacuum modulator, smell the fluid, if it smells burnt-most likely problems, hope that helps

Thanks, I will try the vacuum modulator. I ll pick it up today , i think its only 20 bucks. i will let you guys know.
