I recently bought a 2007 M1097R1 and have been having fun. We had snow last week and I took it out for a drive and it did perfect. However after getting home and messing around with it I left the ignition switch turned on. Fast-forward a few days and batteries are dead. Being a n00b I attempted to jump start it without success. I then disconnected both batteries and put each on a charger and got them fully charged. It would turn over this morning but not start and block heater was plugged in. This afternoon I tried again with block heater still plugged in but noticed the wait to start light was staying on a long time. Went ahead and started it and it seemed to run fine but I noticed now the wait light is staying on even when running and the heater fan no longer works. Assuming I did damage by trying to jump start it and have seen some posts saying the start box is likely bad.... would that cause these issues?

Well, I wouldn't swear to it but I imagine that you may have cooked your PCB (Start Box). I suggest that you download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your truck. Especially the -10 book... It will explain how the truck should be started - with delays required to restart if if didn't "catch" the first time.

We have a member here that sells a start box that seems to get rave reviews. There is another guy here that will explain how to rebuild the box that you have... Give either of them a look. Start box controls the glow plugs and they are pretty important where you live.
