Glad to meet you today when you stopped in the shop. I hope you had a good time wondering around looking at my trucks. The deuce ride I gave you should help give the proper motivation to get your new deuce up and running quickly. Like I said, if you need anything just give me a call and I'll help you get it worked out. Also, I have a full set of the TM's if you need to borrow them to figure stuff out.

Have fun and enjoy your new toy!!

Welcome to the site....

You must have bought that truck from the junkyard up in Shelby/Hart???

I looked over that truck when I bought my hardtop from him back in April. It was in pretty nice shape, other than the front damage. I thought he had a bumper, grill and some other pieces to fix it that came with the truck. If I remember right, it also came with an extra tranny and transfercase. You have a good start for your first Deuce, new insulated vinal top, with a heater, and a suspension seat. If I'm thinking right, The exaust was kind of weird/different on that truck. It didn't run straight to the stack, but under the truck, then to a muffler maybe, then back towrds the front to the stack?

Anyways, welcome and enjoy the Deuce. -Paul

The exhaust runs like that because it's a non turbo truck. They originally ran to a muffler behind the battery compartment. Once they went to the turbos, they went straight to the stack.

That makes sense, I guess. I've never seen the exaust run like that before, it was a first for me.

Anyways..... "just_enough"....nice truck.

Well guys got here started!!! thanks again to Dave! ha ha the guy shows up with the truck, pulled the batteries and the truck was supposed to stay running from shelby michigan to my house in grand haven michigan so my buddy pulled it off the trailer with his truck and we pulled it in to the drive way with some help from other friends pushing it , he said the truck had a bad charging system, Turns out he only had one positive cable hooked up . so some new batteries and a call to 67BEAST aka Dave my new best friend;-) we got her fired and rippin on down the road, Tthe radiator was leaking but apparently it was a fuel line all bend up and pinched so, that was my first day with my deuce wont ever forget it!!!

There should only be one positive cable, as the batteries are wired in serise, not parrallel. + cable should go to + on one battery. The - on that bat. should then go to the + on the next bat. The - on the second bat. goes to the - cable. The extra + cable is most likely coming from the slave receptical (the plug for jump starting I showed you on mine)

P.S. I was glad to help you get it started over the phone. I heard it fire just before the phone went dead, so I figured you dropped the phone in all the excitement of it finally running.
