Figured I would join up, read a lot of good information on this site before I pulled the plug and got the m1078. Right now I'm debating going to pick it up and drive it home, or get it shipped. The trip one way is 460 miles.

Where are you picking it up? I'm in more or less the same boat since flat towing is not desirable. I assume you bought on govplanet?

i have driven 3 m923's a total of 1400 miles in last few months with no problems, but also not sure how m1078 stacks up.
