Hello all,

I've had this M1009 for a year now and am starting to restore it. Looking for parts, a local mechanic experienced in the diesel blazers (NoVA, DC, SoMD), and possible a local group to swap info/beers with.

Im gonna start poking through the forums, but any advice would be great!

Greetings from across the Chesapeake bay, welcome aboard. Knowing a good mechanic is helpful, but if you have the time, I would give yourself a chance to solve your own truck malfunctions. With the help of the Technical Manuals, the search function and some very helpful people on the site, you may be able to repair most things by yourself and learn more about your truck in the process.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the site and the hobby. As mentioned before, try to read up about your truck from the forums and T.M.s. Then work on the truck yourself. Great learning curve, and usefull if away from base with it.
