Hello to all from a new member. I've always had a thing for small engines, and have always wanted an old Lister CS 24/2 engine for a generator, but it has just never worked out. So I went and bought the next best thing. Or so I thought. I bought (2) LWP2 or DN2M-1 2 cyl. diesel engines, hoping in my spare time to bake a nice backup generator. The engines did not come with flywheels, as I did not think it would be a big deal. Boy, was I wrong! I have looked high and low for them with no luck. I will look through the threads on here to see if there is anything to point me in the right directions.

Again, thanks for having me.

Welcome to the hobby and a time time to get something working military fashion. (just be careful how long you.. "bake" those engines in an overly hot oven!) sorry couldn't resist. Anyway post up some pictures of the units (helps people to see what you need) and the work in progress on your project.

Welcome from Kansas City, MO. If you're thinking about maybe getting into military vehicles check out the KAMO rally threads. We have it each October at the D-Day Adventure Park in Wyandotte, OK.

Howdy and welcome from Colorado. I too like to tinker with small engines. Alas, no knowledge or suggestions on your flywheel situation. With dimensions and photos of the back of your engine(s) it might be possible to convert or build an adapter. Lots of remarkable minds and experience on this site.

Welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup]

Wish I could be of help with your search for the 'flywheels' you need. If you keep at
it, something is likely to turn up.

Welcome form Ma!
Maybe you'll find an ole tractor show somewhere, they usually have all kinds of small parts, maybe something would work for ya!
