What are the differences between the two products? Selectro has been around for a long time and seems to have a premium product. I can buy off brand hubs for my M37 for $90 a set, but I was told Selectros are about $250. Why is this new brand worth the extra money? Then it looks kinda like a scam calling them OEM which traditionaly stands for original equipment manufacturer, which would be Rockwell.

Well the O.E.M stands for Ouverson Engineering & Machining. They build top shelf off road stuff for axles. The hubs are are a premium hub. Check Warn or Milemarker and both offer regular hubs and premium hubs. These hubs compared to the Selectro's are just a much better made hub. At. $45 more a set one can decide whether they want a more basic or the higher quality hub. I think having 2 sources for hubs is a great thing. Both fit into the market. By the way, Ouverson has a billet hub as well as the advertised cast hub and both hubs can be outfitted for 2" shafts!

APB was supposed to have some in the making! Now that he's parted with Selectro, I dunno!

I sent an email to Inter Agency Motor Pool (www.m35products.com) inquiring about the 5-ton lockouts,
(as suggested in another post!)

and here is the reply:

"Yes, the 5-ton hubs are in the works. They will NOT be Selectro. They will
be made by a "private label" for my company only. They will not be cheap (or
inexpensive). Watch for an announcement in MVM or Supply Line.

i've had my selectros on the truck a few weeks now and i love them. my only complaint is, The are NOT WATERTIGHT!!! There is a small o-ring where the selector rotates and it's a joke! Every time i hit the trails it's weel bearing repack time when i get home. Yea my back hurts! Mabye i'll sell these and put some money with it to get this new design? And as for wear and tear,i have noticed a lot less on my arms when navagating the wal-mart parking lot!
