Oil filter arrangement

So i assume the aluminum washer is for the filter bolt but there was one on top of the oring that should go on the top of the filter. Unkess tgats also in the wrong spot(doubt that as no seal for the top otherwise) any help would be apreciated.

I would look at the TM 5-2420-224-24P-1, Figure 15, page 0016 00-2. There is an exploded picture of the oil filter,and housing.

Great thanks metal washer in wrong spot. O ring still mysterious. This is why you should always not reassemble as found.

What is mysterious? Do you need to know the size? Or something else?

Didn't see its home till i inspected further. Was led astray by the pisspoor attempt at assy done by previous owner or army mech.
