Oil Filter Canister Bolts - How tight?

Does anyone know how tight to torque the oil filter canister bolts?

Not so tight that you break the nut off but not too soft that you spring a leak.

Hmm..can't go wrong with that advise
The gaskets are very thin (at least the ones I have used), so don't twist the canisters when installing, just put pressure on them and tighten according to DR.

i torqued the bolts on my canisters to 60 ft/ lb i believe it says that in the manual somewhere but yeah dont twist the canisters

Yup, the 'book' says 60 ft. lbs.

That advice was written just after arriving here from Houston (and I mean directly!) Amazing how 12 hours of sleep puts me back into the pace of life......................
