I have got a M35A2 and im ready to paint it. I have been searching online and such, but nothing good comes up where i can buy it. Their is places in the UK but international shipping with paint is fround upon maybe?

Where are you all buying OD Green paint from? Is it online or from Oreilly's or sherwin williams lowes?

What is the current pricing on a gallon?

How many gallons will it take to spray a whole deuce?

I know this may sound stupid but im going to use the onboard air supply to paint the truck! I dont have a air compressor big enough.

Any input is greatly appreciated

I would do a search of these here forums for "painting" etc. and Im sure you will find what you are looking for. I know I have personally read extensively here on painting including techniques, colors and suppliers.

You might want to rent a airless sprayer, using the onboard compressor will work but it does tire out fast.

I used RAPCO 383 with a 4 to 1 ratio xylene reducer.... project came out top notch (height compliant bumper). Used a cheap harbor freight spray gun, in line desiccate and prepped with the xylene......came out solid for a "neophyte" painter.

Last year I had bought some true MIL-SPEC 383 green CARC paint from this company

Was a little bit more pricey then some other places, but they had great service and selection. One of the owners called me as a service rep to inquire that I had actually ordered what I did so there was no mistake, and I thought that was really cool. I never did end up using the CARC on my Deuce, but it did make its way onto an old jeep CJ5, and after some trial and error with the spray gun (im no pro) it finnaly turned out really cool looking, and was just like it came out of a IMF or depot level facility.

Good call by 4x4 Forever on the airless paint sprayer, but if you must use the on-board air system on the truck, do yourself a favor and get an in-line water trap so you don't end up with water bubbles in your paint. Also bleed your tanks off completely before you shoot paint and after about 3 or 4 hours run time.

I bought2 gallons of paint from rapco. One gallon of lusterless OD current issue and one gallon of flat black. They said I need some xylean thinner to spray it. Im going to harbor freight to get me a paint gun for one time use
