thank you is a 98 6.5 that i change over to mechanical injection with a manual TB 400 hook up to the factory 4SPD which also has a low range, got a few more plates to bolt on and the put a torque multiplier on the steering to make it softer which will run of the 6.5 power steering pump then so long awaited test on my friends farm...

While its out of my experience on these vehicles I was told that you will need to be careful on pressing the gas. The added torque /power will tear up the differential. I know a few guys in the LAH reenacting group with these

Well from my experience the problem they had was the outer planetery gears had a fold over watcher that in some models when the CZECH army rebuild them prior to going on the surplus market they where not fold over and the nut would back up and gear would come of shaft and there is not enough room and would brake housing and the gear . we had one that it happen to it we had the gear and shaft made and welded the housing back up and after that i took my apart and check everything is a very strong unit with big parts in it , i ran my pretty hard when it was running years ago but this time around will treated softly thank you for the reminder hope never happens so far i have taken everything apart except for the outer drive sprocket may do that in the future but for now lots of things to do...

That is a sweet ride.

KILLER restoration.

What is the story on the outboard track "sprockets" (unsure of the correct terminology here) being commonly elevated on WWII German armor (see attached):

- Was there a functional reason (like D9: keep drive sprocket out of the grit)?

- Or maybe just signature profile by designer?
