Overcharging

Hi! My m1009 has started overcharging to 34 volts,i read some posts and poked around a bit but no fix,what all can cause this? It’s my gen 2,gen 1 is fine and dandy

Look at the 2 terminal plastic connector on the back (non drive end) of the alternator. Probe the red wire terminal with a multimeter, putting the other multimeter terminal at the positive terminal of the over charging battery. Measure the voltage. You are looking for faults in this wiring circuit, could be dirty connection or fusible link.
