Painted Blackout Lights

Is the lens of the CUCV blackout light plastic or glass, and what's the best way to remove paint from the lenses? Thanks.

Plastic. I have had good luck using a razor blade held at a 90 degree to the lens and scraping it off. Follow it with a polishing using headlight lens polish.
