Parking brake question

When I cycle the parking brake on my m929 I get that drying goose honk as air is released into the intake. Is there a way to stop this from happening? It is very annoying.

Thanks

Yup I posted about that a few weeks ago its the parking groan of death people look at you like your truck is going to fall apart. It's apparently normal operation though.

I disconnected the line the goes into the intake tube, it doesn't have a trumpet affect but still annoying. It seems like there is a noise generating reed in the line that make this sound.

It's normal. If it DOESN'T make that sound, you likely won't have parking brakes. (I know my propeller shaft drum brake cable wasn't adjusted properly) The sound you're hearing is all the air being released from the brakes allowing the springs to extend back out and set the pads.

Ill take the noise and know my brakes are set. I used to chock like i was trained to in the marines but then i would forget the chock and you dont even feel it when you drive over it.
