I have had my 1097R1 for a little over a month. Been cleaning things up and just working through some issues. My panel lights didn’t work at all (including parking brake light). I was checking connections and found there were some crossed connectors at the parking brake switch. Connected all of the wires correctly and now my panel lights work great, but my parking brake light stays on no matter what position the parking brake handle is in. I disconnected one of the wires coming off the parking brake switch and that made the parking brake warning light go out. Is it safe to assume the switch is bad?

Pull the wire off of the brake equalizer block next to the master cylinder and see if the light goes out, an imbalanced brake circuit can also cause a light.
