If you are picking up a military vehicle that has not been licensed, do you have to tow them or is there some type of grace period? I am calling my insurance agent a head of time to get insurance. (He is out of the office as usual.) Do you know if the govt. destroys the maintenance log book or does it stay with the vehicle when the govt. or their agent puts them up for sale? I live in Minnesota. Appreciate any info.

Tags: Legally you should get temp tags. If you're buying from private person you should have grace period but I don't know that for a fact.
Log books: Crap shoot there, some come with them some don't.
