Looking good, have you considered a winch and grill guard for it?

I travelled through Wausau way back in 1968 and was surprized how such a big city.. I was from the country... closed up exactly at 5 PM.

Any shots of it in action?

Is this an Alfa Heaven truck? You're up that way and they put HMMWV tires on all the M880s they sell. Looks great!

Don't worry too much. My M880 never had B/O lights installed before I got it. The B/O lights were a kit that had to be installed on the unit level(?) after delivery to the Army. The quality of the installation depended on who did the installation. (Naturally then since I installed my B/O light kit, it was a superb installation. :D )
My truck did however have at least the notch out of the passenger side upper corner of the grill for access to the hood padlock, and since your grill does not have this cut out, I assumed that the grill had been replaced. Of course, if your truck never had the padlock stud installed in the hood (it extends through a hole in the radiator core support and a padlock is attched to it on the underside accessed thtough the cutout in the grill) then there would be no reason for the cut out in the grill.

P.S. Bob, not sure of your exact meaning, but I know for a fact that the B/O light kit I installed on my M880 was designed specifically for the M880 series trucks (including the ambulance)

RE: last pics i found

This is just my HO....but for me the 3 color nato cammo paint job just doesn't look right on the M880s....To me it looks out of place somehow.

Don't get me wrong it's a good paint job and who ever did the cammo did a nice job...just looks wrong to me... :)

I think thats a real nice looking truck. Mine didnt come with B/O lights, Camo, or 24 volt system either. They were M885 shelter carrier trucks, but I dont know what kind. Not communications huts, because the trucks dont have radio noise suppression gear

RE: last pics i found

Everyone has always told me an old dodge will pass everything but a fuel pump........ Looks like a great condition daily driver, and a very good start to a intresting uncommon and expensive hobby for most of us here. I personally like the Hummer tires and the three color camo job. Gives the old truck a good look without going overboard.
