Ok. It looks simple enough. I'm having a heck of a time getting that nut off the shaft. I have the cotter pin out. Is it left hand or right hand thread. I've tried to loosen both ways and it won't budge. I've also sprayed some PB Blaster on it and still nothing. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I figure I just need more a$$ to get it off.

.......... Is it left hand or right hand thread..
RH! No left threads anywhere, except for the (left side) wheel studs & nuts.

Yes...., but better if you had access to a good 3/4"drive impact wrench.
It was put on.... and it HAS to come off, so it WILL come off.... either way! :)

Thanks gringeltaube. I figured I just didn't have enough muscle. As far as an impact... I have a 1/2 inch, no 3/4. I'll see what I can come up with for more leverage. Thanks guys.

I used the truck to get it loose. Here is what I did: I used the spud/lug tool with an old broken breaker bar through the hole and got it up against the frame. I inched the truck forward and had my wife watch to make sure all was good, then tada!!! It was loose.

Yeah I took a couple minutes to figure out which direction to go to loosen. Now tightening.... I'll have to come up with something else. I think getting it loose was the biggest battle.

use a screwdriver. it works really well. if you can't remove it, you may have to remove the seal housing. its not bad to do it that way. use the old seal to install the new one in place.
