If I remember correctly the only difference I have heard is that a true M-37 rack won't have the drilled holes on the sides that are for mounting brackets ( like the M-35 ). Also remember to use 3/8"spacer/washers on the 4 mounting bolts between the back of the rack and the tailgate as the rack should not be pressed up against the tailgate
