Just thought I would post a comparison between vehicles. Their power to weight ratios and final drive ratios. Love playing with these numbers, really helps when it comes to modifying a vehicles power train and drivetrain. The CUCV and HMMWV numbers both assume 250 ft lbs of rated engine torque which I figure most run at although the HMMWV manual shows most had 260 ft lbs. Just a general figure.

M1008
6000lbs
Final Drive Ratio in 3rd is 4.56:1
Final Drive Ratio in 1st low range is 61.3:1 (accounts for torque converter)
Torque to rear wheels in 3rd high is 1140 ft lbs
Torque to rear wheels in 1st low is 15379 ft lbs

M997 HMMWV
9280lbs
Final Drive Ratio in 3rd is 4.64:1 (1.92 hubs+2.72 axles)
Final Drive Ratio in 1st low range is 62.58:1 (accounts for torque converter)
Torque to rear wheels in 3rd high 2320 ft lbs
Torque to rear wheels in 1st low 15649 ft lbs

M35A2
13500 lbs
Final Drive Ratio in 5th is 5.71:1
Final Drive Ratio in 1st low is 109.27:1
Torque to rear wheels in 5th is 1884 ft lbs
Torque to rear wheels in 1st low is 26078 ft lbs

My M211 repower
13000 lbs
Final Drive Ratio in 4th is 5:1
Final Drive Ratio in 1st low is 119:1
Torque to rear wheels in 4th is 1932 ft lbs
Torque to rear wheels in 1st low is 32725 ft lbs
