Problem with my M-929

Hello

i have a problem with my dump truck, i have to use the emergency stop wire to shut of the engine, because when i use the normal switch it will not stopp.
What Can the problem be ?

it is a 1984 truck

It sounds like you have a bad switch.

If it has the NHC250 Cummins then I believe there is a screw on the back of where the stop Em. stop cable hooks to the ip that can be screwed in ( or out, can't remember) to let the motor run with out any electrical. You might look it up in the TM to see which way it should be to run normally
